Moving to Portugal?
I've got you covered.

Hey, I’m João!
As a foreigner myself, I know what a struggle it can be to get settled in a new country.
I moved out of Salvador Brazil to Lisbon in 2017 to study Law at the local University. I wanted to combine my interests in law with the thrill, excitement and experiences of living abroad - but I soon noticed that dealing with foreign authorities can be quite a struggle, even for the most prepared person. That's how the idea for this platform started.
I have combined my knowledge of Portuguese law, language and my personal experiences to assist you. From NIF & Visas to setting up a bank account, insurances quotes - and more.
Let me be your helping hand on your journey to Portugal!

FAQ
If you are planing to relocate to Portugal, the Portuguese Taxpayer Number, or NIF, will come very handy, or rather essential. Having a NIF number allows you to open bank accounts, make lease contracts, it’s a step towards access to National Health System and more.
In fact you may apply for a NIF number without even establishing your residence here, if it suits you, tax-wise. That also means you don’t have to be in the country to get a NIF beforehand. Since you are not yet a resident in the country, you’ll need someone else to apply for the Taxpayer number on your behalf, they’ll be your Fiscal Representative.
Did you know? Portuguese banks are now offering temporary NIFs. Nevertheless, you’ll always end up in need of a permanent NIF number.
There are different types of visa, depending on your circumstances. From short term visas to long term (National) visas, there’s a variety that might apply to your case, especifically. Are you looking to Relocate to Portugal for studies, work, tourism or are you looking into living here off of your personal revenue?
No. There is, however, a reduced tax frame with the NHR (Non-Habitual Residence).
